French, Playing No. 3, Wins Sole Match--Rueter Elected Captain

The Freshman tennis team went down to defeat before the first-year Pennsylvania netmen Saturday to the score of 6 to 1. Just before the matches, which were played on the Divinity courts. J. C. Rueter '28 was elected captain of the Freshman team Rueter prepared at Middlesex. He has played at No. 1 so far this season.

Singles--Hofkin (P) defeated Rueter (H), 6-1, 7-5; Kraft (P) defeated Sayles (H), 6-3, 6-4; French (H) defeated Walker (P), 6-4, 4-6, 10-8; Grafmueller (P) defeated Reichenbach (H), 6-3, 6-3.

Doubles--Hofkin and Kraft (P) defeated Rueter and Sayles (H), 6-4, 6-1; Walker and Grafmueller (P) defeated French and Dupertuis (H), 7-5, 4-6, 6-2
