Trip Will Last One Week--Meet Many Old Rivals--Maryland Is New to Spring Tour Schedule

Coach Mahan will take 22 members of his University baseball squad on the annual southern trip during spring vacation, it was announced last night. The team will be gone a week, leaving Boston on the Everglades. Limited Sunday evening and playing their last game in New York the following Saturday.

Three catchers, six pitchers, seven infielders, and six outfielders will probably be the division on the men who will make the trip. Twenty of the players have already been picked, but because of the stiff competition for infield and outfield positions, the remaining two may not be named until the last day before the team leaves.

On Tuesday the team will meet a Navy nine at Annapolis, which defeated the University 4 to 2 last year. They will return to Washington that night, and go to College Park the next day for a contest with the University of Maryland, a new team on the schedule.
