A smoker for the Freshman class will be held on Tuesday evening, May 5, according to an announcement yesterday by Henry Chauncey '28, Chairman of the Smoker Committee.
Elaborate preparations are under way which will make the smoker the most attractive of the year. The speakers will number six or seven, and further entertainment will be supplied by performers from some current stage hit or other professional entertainers.
The tentative list of speakers includes Mr. T. W. Slooum '90, President of the Harvard Club of New York, Dean L. B. R. Briggs '75, Assistant Dean E. A. Whitney '17, and A. H. O'Neil '28, President of the Freshman class. The committee is also attempting to secure Heywood Broun '10 as a speaker.
