HOTSON DENIES HE WILL BE ASSISTANT TO BAKER

BAKER'S PLANS NOT YET MADE COMPLETE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Dr. J. L. Hotson '20 will not be Professor Baker's assistant in the new school of Dramatic Art at Yale. He wishes to correct the erroneous impression to this effect created by metropolitan papers, he explained to a CRIMSON reporter. In leaving the University Dr. Hotson goes to Yale for the purpose of continuing under Professor Baker his studies in the drama.

Professor Baker has announced none of his completed plans and none of his aides in his undertakings at Yale. Little will be revealed about his plans for some weeks to come, as Professor Baker left for Europe with Mrs. Baker two weeks ago.

He intends to spend some time in securing a much needed vacation in the south of Europe. During that time and later he will study conditions of dramatic art in England and Italy. He may go to Germany where he will investigate the reported renaissance of dramatic effort, modeled about the great stage designing of several artists. If possible he will make his way into Russia to observe the work being done in Moscow. On his return to France he will inquire into the experiments of several Parisian producers.
