CRIMSON RUNNERS HOPE TO UPSET PREDICTIONS

TWO-MILE RELAY TEAM HAS NO EASY TASK

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

That Harvard will rank well up in the scoring at the indoor intercollegiates tomorrow can be reasonably expected. For her to win the winter track classic or even climb into second place would come as a surprise to the critics who almost unanimously favor Georgetown and Pennsylvania. It is a well balanced team, however, that leaves at 1.05 today for New York.

The favorites will have to reckon with that team and especially with several potential Crimson record breakers before they can check up a victory to their credit. Besides Watters and Tibbetts, who are counted upon to contribute their known ability, several new stars are being watched. A bet that both Miller and Fletcher will break a record tomorrow would not be a wholly reckless one in view of their recent performances. Various records have frequently tottered when either of them was on the track. Last week the triangular one fell before Miller's thunderous stride, and the world's time was twice equalled by the Crimson hurdler, Fletcher. Haggerty is also expected to show to advantage.

Two-Mile Team Meets Record Holders

The mile relay team will certainly be made up of Allen, Rogers, Lundell and Kane, as Robb injured his ankle in the triangular meet. The two-mile team, Barker, Kobes, Cutcheon and Chapin, have a difficult task before them. The team of Georgetown record holders will run intact, and the Boston College team which broke the world's record at the Penn Relay Carnival last spring will run with but one change, that of McCloskey for Cavanaugh, a change, it is said, for the better.

In the jumps and weights Harvard is weak, although Berglund. Captain Dunker and Jones may be able to collect some stray points. Men like Went-worth of Colby in the 35-pound weight. Norton of Georgetown, in the high jump and shot put, and Bowen of Cornell, a record breaker in both weights last Saturday, will probably clean up in those events.
