Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
When the University Crew squad reported at Newell Boathouse yesterday afternoon. Coach Stevens dropped a bomb into their midst. Calling his men around him he read off a revised list of his first three crews, which leaves only two men on his first crew in the positions in which they have been rowing.
Captain S.B. Kelly '25 and Robert Winthrop '26 at stroke are the two men who retain their positions. Of the remainder of Crew X as it now rows, G.R. Johnson '25 and C.F. Darlington '26 have been shifted within the boat, whereas J.P. Hubbard '26. Kent Leavitt '26, Geoffrey Platt '27, and R.W. Ladd '27 have been promoted from the second shell.
In commenting on his changes Coach Stevens said last night. "The shift has been coming for some time. All preliminary rearrangements were simply leading up to this.
"Much of the change has taken place inside the boats, for I am trying to find the best place for each particular man.
"I cannot say that this is final and do not know that it will be completely satisfactory but I was well pleased with the workout today. I shall not be sure of any marked improvement for some time.
"We are particularly handicapped by the small number of Sophomores on the University crews. This figures in all our considerations."
The revised seating orders are as follows:
Crew X--Stroke, Robert Winthrop '26; 7, Kent Leavitt '26; 6, J.P. Hubbard '26; 5, G.R. Johnson '25; 4, C.F. Darlington '26; 3, Geoffrey Platt '27; 2, R.W. Ladd '27; Bow S.B. Kelly '25; Cox., C.S. Heard '25.
Crew Y--Stroke, J.H. Perkins '27; 7, J.R. Barry '27; 6, C.O'D. Iselin '26; 5, D.C. Gates '26; 4, W.J. Milde '25; 3, Y.F. Righter '26; 2, Elisha Canning '26; Bow, G.D. Krumbhaar '26; cox., H.P. Travis '27.
