"The University authorities would never take such action against the Lampoon as Boston University officials used to suppress the Beanpot, B.U.'s comic magazine," declared Professor G.B. Chase '96 last night.
An editorial attack on the Boston University R.O.T.C. resulted in the forced resignation of Miss Henrietta Perkins, editor of the Beanpot, and the suppression of the magazine. The editorial made reference to the financial remuneration which the university receives for each man in the corps.
Professor Chase said that he believed that nothing short of a display of immorality or extremely poor taste would be censured here. In the past the authorities have contented themselves with a personal discussion between editors and one of the executive officers.
