Impromptu Organization Defeats More Experienced Opponents

In a fast six-period game in the Commonwealth Armory on Saturday evening, the Freshman polo team defeated the Yale 1928 riders by the narrow score of 7 to 6. In spite of the fact that the Freshman trio was a more or less impromptu organization and had played no games previously this year, it was able to finally overcome its more experienced opponents. The game was closely contested and in doubt as to the outcome up to the last shukker.

The Freshman team, which consisted of W. H. White '28, Alexander Shaw '28, and H. McL. Fenwick '28, had practiced together for only a short time. Both Shaw and White had played in several of the University games while Fenwick is a newcomer to the horseman ranks.
