Chapman Heads Debating Council

At a meeting of the Debating Council last night Dwight Westley Chapman Jr. '27 of Wilmette, III., was elected president of the Council for the coming year. He was recently awarded the Coolidge Medal as the leading University debater.

William Dix Morton Jr. '27 of Nortonville, Ky., was elected vice-president. David Luther Dickson '27 of Lakewood, Ohio, was picked for secretary, and Lewis Stephen Pilcher '26 of Brooklyn, N. Y., was appointed manager.

An offer from the University of California to entertain the Harvard debating team some time next fall was referred to the executive committee.
