STEVENS SHIFTS GATES TO ISELIN'S PLACE IN X BOAT

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University crew yesterday reverted to the regular shell after the trial spin of the day before in its new and bilious colored craft. A temporary change in the seating was made when J. M. Gates '27 replaced C. O. D. Iselin '26 at No. 2 for yesterday's practice.

Crews X, Y, and Z rowed from the Newell Boathouse to the mouth of the basin in their workout.

The new shell has been returned to the workshop, where several alterations will be made. After its completion, it will be given tests with the old Pocock shell, in which the University crew rowed last spring, with the new Pocock shell which arrived from Seattle and was taken to the boathouse today, and with the new shell from Bowers and Phelps which is now on its way from England. A definite selection will probably be made before the Princeton trip during the Easter vacation.
