The three sub-chairmen who will assist in conducting the coming Student Friendship Drive were announced last night by J. C. McGlone '26, Chairman of the drive. The three men selected are S. W. Bridges '26, F. W. Fay '26, and R. H. Field '26. Their work of organization has been begun and they will launch their campaign within the next two weeks.

The campaign, which will last this year for three or four days, is conducted annually at Harvard and other American universities. Its principle is not one of charity but of succor to the students of Europe, who would not otherwise to able to receive an education. In the years which it has been tried at the University, it has met with very notable success in raising a large contribution to the national fund.

A group of collectors will be appointed next week to make a complete canvass of the whole University. The committee will try to equal this year the sum of $6,000 which was subscribed in 1924. Many colleges have already completed their drives, Princeton having raised her quota and Yale subscribing $4,000.

According to a letter sent by the chairman of the national drive to the local committee, the need for the help which this fund provides in Europe is more real than ever before.
