The University and Freshman fencing teams will take the floor against the Yale fencers this afternoon in the Yale Gymnasium.
This meet will be the last of the season for the University team before the intercollegiate tournament in New York early in April.
The Crimson foilsmen have won all their meets this season, having defeated Bowdoin, Syracuse, the Army, M. I. T., the J. Sanford Saltus Club, and, in an unofficial meet, Dartmouth. Great strength with the foils events and a certain degree of weakness with the epee have marked the season. Only in the meet with the Saltus Club was Harvard's foils superiority seriously challenged.
The Yale team has a very good record in spite of an early season loss to the Navy. It has shown itself particularly strong in the epee events through the excellent work of Mengle and Mouat.
R. P. Outerbridge, who has just been elected captain of the Freshmen, is the mainstay of his team. The other men who will go to Yale on the 1928 team are E. A. Morrison, G. T. Carroll, and J. E. Barnett.
The University team is composed of Captain R. A. Durham '25, A. G. Carrillo '26, and Howard Finney '26, as foilsmen, and of Lendon Snedeker '25 and Noel Morss '26 in the epee.
