"The Ninetieth Birthday of Charles William Eliot" to be published next Friday, will be enthusiastically received by all Harvard men. A compendious volume which will give the story of that famous ninetieth birthday will keep its memories from fading, for all who witnessed it, and for those who could not attend, it will suggest the spirit of the anniversary.

As a collection of opinions on the value of President Eliot's work, the book is invaluable. The Massachusetts Legislature, Harvard Clubs and Harvard graduates have their praises carefully preserved as a lasting remembrance. The character of the book and its publication on March twentieth, exactly one year after the ninetieth birthday celebration, are both pleasant reminders of the genius of the great man whom the book is designed to honor.
