60 LACROSSE CANDIDATES OUT

Record Number Reports to Captain Reed--Coach Will Arrive Soon

A squad of 60 candidates including 18 Freshmen, reported for the first day of lacrosse practice yesterday at the Soldiers Field Locker Building. This is a record turnout for the first day of practice, last year's record being only half than number.

A short practice was held under the direction of Captain A. E. Reed '26. On Thursday, Mr. I. C. Lydecker, new University lacrosse coach, will arrive to take charge of the regular practice in preparation for the first game which comes on April 17. Mr. Lydecker will take charge of both the University and Freshman teams.

According to C. T. Crosby to manager, the competition for second assistant lacrosse manager will begin on next Monday, March 23. This competition is open to Sophomores only.
