OWEN TURNS DOWN OFFER TO COACH TEAMS AT WESLEYAN

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

George Owen Jr. '23, former University athlete who competed in nine major sport competitions against Yale while an undergraduate, will not accept an offer as coach of football and baseball teams at Wesleyan University, he announced last night.

The demands of his business in Boston will prevent his giving any consideration to the Wesleyan offer which was made about two weeks ago, he announced. It is probable that he will again assist Coach Fisher with the University team next fall.
