"The endowment insurance plan that we have recommended to the class of 1925 is not an experiment," said the Senior committee in a statement to the CRIMSON yesterday. "It must be clearly understood that it has been thoroughly tested and has proved satisfactory in every way. Princeton has used a similar plan very successfully and last year's class at M. I. T. has found entirely satisfactory a plan practically identical in every respect to the one we recommend. Last year's class at the University adopted an endowment insurance with much the same arrangements as we have, and they have found that the system gives very good results. We have been fortunate enough to obtain somewhat more liberal terms from the insurance company than the class of 1924.

"There is another thing that has to be made clear," continued the statement. "Not only is every one in the Senior class expected to take out endowment insurance policies, but it is hoped that all those who have ever had any connection with the class will contribute also. Letters have been sent out to all those who graduated at mid-years and to all those who are on leave of absence. They have the same obligations in the matter as the rest of the Senior class.
"Judging from the class of 500 men in the class of 1897, it is reasonable to expect that about 75 deaths will occur in our class during the period of the next 25 years."
Members of the class will be able to sign up for the insurance policies at the Senior Smoker which is to be held in the Union at 7 o'clock. Monday evening March 16. President Lowell will speak.
