A second large smoker for the Freshman class will be held Friday evening, March 7, on the eve of the Yale Freshman hockey game. This decision was made on Saturday at a special meeting of the Dormitory Committees in Smith Halls common room. Definite plans are now being formulated for the affair which will be the big mass meeting of the winter for the class of 1928.
The Living Room of the Union has been obtained for the occasion and Moynanan's orchestra will furnish the music. The mass meeting will follow the smoker and is planned as a rally for the undefeated hockey team before its crucial test with the Eli Freshmen.
A tentative list of the mass meeting speakers has been arranged. T. J. Campbell '12, who is intimately associated with Freshman athletics, will be the first speaker and introduce the others. Among these will be C. C. Buell '23, captain of the 1922 football eleven. George Owen Jr. '28, captain of the 1923 hockey team, and W. G. Saltonstall '28, captain of the Freshman sextet.
Arrangements are also being made by the Committee to secure a block of seats in the cheering section of the Arena for Saturday night's contest.
