The Freshman hockey team yesterday defeated the Newton High School skaters 3 to 2 at the Arena.
The 1928 offensive tactics bewildered Newton at the start of the game and the Crimson sextet piled up a three point lead on their adversaries. Captain Saltonstall accounted for two of the goals while Crawford scored the third.
The second period was scoreless, but in the third period Newton rallied and Stubbs and Holbrook caged the puck while the 1928 team was held scoreless.
The Freshmen oppose the Yale first year team on February 28 in the final game of their season. To date they are undefeated.
