Althought 15 pitchers and 3 catchers reported for the initial practice of Freshman battery candidates, Coach Davidson is dissatisfied with the small turnout, and has issued a call for additional players, particularly backstops.

Both University and Freshman candidates are practicing together at present under the tutelage of Coaches Mahan, Mitchell, and Davidson, and an excellent opportunity is offered for men to gain valuable experience. New men may report to the cage on Soldiers Field today.
