"LAUGH IT OFF" IS PUDDING SHOW TITLE

Silvers Arrives Monday--Will Hold Meeting for Would-Be Thespians--Plan for 11 Performances

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"Laugh It Off" will be the amiable title of the forthcoming spring production of the Hasty Pudding Club, it was learned last night, when G. D. Debevoise '26 made public his plans for the Hasty Pudding's spring theatrical campaign.

With mid-year examinations a thing of the past, active work on the producted is getting under way this week. Already a tentative itinerary, including stops at New York, Newark, Philadelphia, and Washington, as well as in Cambridge and Boston, has been drawn up, and graduate committees are being made up in each of these cities to superintend the arrangements for the Hasty Pudding tour which will take place during the spring recess.

Orchestra Rehearsals Going On

In the meanwhile, in Cambridge, the work of preparation is progressing rapidly. The book of "Laugh It Off," a two-act comedy by J. C. Murphy '25 and W. S. Martin '26, has been drafted in its final form, and rehearsals have been going on for some time for the members of the new Hasty Pudding orchestra and other specialty performers.

On Monday morning, Louis Silvers will return to Cambridge to coach his third Pudding production, and in the afternoon will be held the general meeting for all members of the club who are planning to compete for positions on the cast. The directors of this year's production will have a wealth of talent to pick from this year, as the recent amalgamation of the Institute of 1770 and the Hasty Pudding Club has made Sophomores as well as Juniors eligible to take part in the play.
