J. S. Bingham, captain-elect of Yale's 1925 football team, has been dropped from college and has resigned the football captaincy, it was announced yesterday at New Haven.

This action was taken by the Yale authorities because of Bingham's failing in the present mid-year examinations. He may apply for readmittance as a Junior next year, but if he does return he will be ineligible for athletics throughout the year.

Cottle and Allen, backfield men, are the men mentioned as likely contenders for Bingham's place as football leader.
