With much veteran material on hand Clach J. L. Danguy of the University Fencing team is confident of a successful season. Besides Captain A. G. Carillo '26, two other letter men, Howard Finney, Jr. '26, and Manager A. R. Allen '26, are doing excellent work on the squad this year. Of last year's Freshmen team, Captain R. P. Outerbridge '28, E. A. Morrison '28, and J. F. Carrol '28 seem the most promising.

In addition to the foils Coach Danguy is this year organizing a sabre team.

In recent years the University has had an enviable fencing team. In 1923 and 1924 the University team held the Intercollegiate Championship. Last year, although the team defeated Bowdoin, M. I. T. and Princeton, it lost to Yale and was defeated in the final intercollegiate tournament held in New York in April.

The University fencing schedule will run in all probability, as follows: February 13  Bowdoin February 20  Army at West Point February 27  Saltus Club March 6  Pennsylvania and Princeton March 13  Columbia March 20  Yale and Dartmouth

The first tournament will be held in New York in the early part of April.
