GRATWICK GETS PLACE ON UNION GOVERNING BOARD

The management of the Union yesterday announced its plans for the week, the election of a new member of the governing board, and also its preparations for the Christmas vacation and the week preceding.

Tomorrow two events will take place at the Union, the Second University tea in the afternoon and the postponed lecture by Randall L. Jones in the evening. For the University tea, no announcement of the list of ushers and guests has yet been made, but these will be announced today. The first tea, a week ago, at which the guests were largely from the Faculties of the Department of History, Government and Economics; the Department of History and Literature; and the Department of Military Science, was well attended, and the Union officials are making arrangements to accommodate another large gathering.

Jones Postponed to Tomorrow

Mr. Jones' lecture on Zion Park, originally scheduled for today, will take place tomorrow at 7.30 o'clock in the Living Room. Mr. Jones was unable to reach Cambridge in time for an address tonight, a large dinner at which he was to be the guest of honor, forcing a longer stay in Chicago than he had originally planned for.

The new member of the governing board, elected last night to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of D. M. Little, Jr. '17, is Mitchell Gratwick '21. He will take office immediately.

Christmas Dinner Planned

On December 17, the Union will give its annual Christmas Dinner. An especially attractive menu has been provided and the evening's entertainment will close with an 8-reel moving picture comedy on some appropriate subject.
