The drawings for the matches in the first tournament of the new Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and West Point Chess League, which will be held at the Manhattan Chess Club of New York. City on December 28, 29, 30, were announced yesterday by K. P. Smith ocC., President of the University Chess Club.

The pairings are as follows:

December 28, Harvard vs. Yale, Princeton vs. West Point; December 29, Harvard vs. West Point; Yale vs. Princeton; December 30, Harvard vs. Princeton. Yale vs. West Point.

The chances of the University Club were materially hurt, due to the fact that the courrey is open only to undergraduates, which will eliminate several of the strongest players including Smith and Adrian Gambet I.T.S. Three undergraduates have been chosen to represent the club, and the fourth member of the team will be named before the Christmas recess, F. G. Chevalier '29, Joseph Skinner '26 and R. O. Strook '26 will be certain to face the Yale, Princeton and Army teams across the calcas board.
