Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
Ellsworth Charles Haggerty of Allston, Mass., was elected President of the class of 1927 on the final ballot. The number of ballots, 60 per cent. of the entire class, was finally obtained yesterday, after a second set was sent out to those whose returns had not been received.
Madison Sayles of Belmont was elected vice-president of the class by an overwhelming majority, getting three fifths of the total votes of the class, and 171 more than his closest competitor, Nathaniel Hamlen.
L. H. Duggan of New York City was elected Secretary-Treasurer with a large margin over Alexander Donald who got the next largest number of votes.
Haggerty is a star on the cross country and track teams, and was chosen captain of the former earlier in the year.
Sayles, who prepared at Belmont High School, was an end on the football team this fall. Duggan has been manager of the second football team this year.
The voting figures follow.
