CRIMSON STICKMEN FACE POWERFUL B. U. SEXTET

Five Boston University letter men will be in the line-up which faces the University hockey team at 8.15 o'clock in the Arena tonight. With the exception of Ling at left defense, the B. U. puck team will be the same that lost to the Crimson skaters last year by a 6 to 1 score. Coach E. L. Bigelow '21 will probably start the same line-up which took the ice first in last Wednesday's victory over the M. I. T. sextet.

Boston University has shown a fast and heavy scoring attack this year with a weaker defensive combination. This is demonstrated in the fact that although the B. U. ice men scored more heavily against Technology in their first game than did the Crimson skaters, they were unable to prevent the Tech team from tallying once. The B. U. six defeated M. I. T. 4 to 1 last week, and are regarded as one of the strongest squads turned out by the Boston institution in years.

Crawford Out With Injury

Following the unimpressive win last Wednesday, the University squad was given a short drill by Coach Bigelow in the Arena yesterday afternoon. Practice lasted only for half an hour and there was no scrimmage. George Crawford '28, who worked at right wing during a portion of the Tech game, turned his ankle and was unable to report for practice yesterday. The remainder of the squad is in excellent condition.

Martin, the Terrier captain and goal guard, is regarded as one of the best cage guardians among the New England teams, although he has been in the habit of going down the ice and leaving the net unguarded at times. This may prove a fatal error against the Crimson short passing game.

The contest with the Tech skaters last Wednesday showed the University sextet to be powerful, but lacking in team work. If the combination play is forthcoming tonight, the Crimson will be a hard team to stop. The entire squad was given an opportunity to play against the Engineers and the reserve material proved to be nearly on a par with the first string.

Captain Thayer Cumings '26 will take his station at goal tonight along with F. S. Clark '26 and L. O. Pratt on defense, and Nathaniel Hamlen '27, R. S. Scott '27, and C. S. Gross '27 on the forward line. Tickets for the game tonight may be obtained at the office of the Harvard Athletic Association.
