BEEBE AGAIN IN PRINT AS CRITIC OF FRENCH POET

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Another volume by Lucius Beebe '27, one of Harvard's most fruitful undergraduate authors, has found its way into print. "Francois Villon Certain Aspects, is the name of the new work, which has just appeared in a limited edition. It is a critical essay on Villon's place in French poetry of the fifteenth century, and an estimate of his influence on subsequent French versifiers.

This book on Villon is quite separate from Beebe's translation of the Frenchman's work, "The Great Testament", which is now listed for future publication by B. J. Brimmer. It is the third volume published by Beebe in recent years, his other works being "Fallen Stars," and "Corydon and Other Poems." A few copies are on sale at the Dunster House Book Shop.
