Two competitions for the CRIMSON in the news and photographic departments, open only to Sophomores, will be launched at a meeting on Thursday evening at 7 o'clock at the CRIMSON Building. This is the last opportunity for Sophomores to compete for positions in these departments.
At the meeting Thursday, the routine of the news and photographic work will be outlined, and the rules of the competition explained in detail.
Both the competitions will last approximately 11 weeks, exclusive of the Christmas vacation, and election to the board at the end of the competition will put the successful candidates in line for higher executive posts on the news and photographic staffs.
No previous journalistic experience is necessary in either the news or the photographic work of these competitions.
