William Gurdon Saltonstall of Readville was elected President of the class of 1928 in the Sophomore elections, the results of which were announced last night. The most prompt and one of the heaviest votes cast by a Sophomore class was counted last night.

William Barksdale Jones of Vaughan, Miss., was chosen vice-president of the class. The contest between Jones and John Watts Jr. was the closest of the election, but the last year's Freshman baseball captain had a comfortable lead over the 1928 crew leader.

Jones, who led the baseball team, was also chairman of the entertainment committee. He won his numerals also as substitute quarterback on the football team.

James Lawrence Pool of New York City won the office of secretary-treasurer without great difficulty. He had a safe margin over his closest rival, W. A. Magie.
