The CRIMSON extends its congratulations to Professor Taussig '79 upon his election as a corresponding Fellow of the British Academy. This signal honor which transcends the narrow bounds of countries and continents cannot add to a reputation already established internationally, for Professor Taussig's contributions to the science of economics have already won him recognition as a profound scholar and high authority. This latest honor is the more noteworthy since of the nine Americans now holding Corresponding Fellowships of the British Academy, five are Harvard men and four of those are members of the faculty.
