Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Troy, N. Y., October 1, 1925--The gridiron forces of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, led by Captain Eschholz, and supported by a contingent of 400 or 500 members of the student body, will invade Cambridge for the opening game of the Harvard schedule on Saturday, October 3.
In Captain Eschholz, who leads the team from the quarterback position, the Polytechnic Institute has a veteran of two years' university experience, after a year's training on his Freshman team. Besides being the star of the R. P. I. eleven, Eschholz has played for three years on both the basketball and baseball teams.
Anderson Will Kick
The other veterans on the squad will bolster both the backfield and the line. Anderson, left halfback, will bear the brunt of the kicking burden, and his work in practice indicates that he will be able to hold his own with the Crimson kickers. Reuther, though not slated to start, may see action should the Engineers succeed in working the ball within kicking distance of the Harvard goal.
In the line, Smucker, Busch, and Triest form the nucleus of veterans around which this year's team is built. Smucker, right end, is a converted guard, while Busch and Triest are again holding down their last year's positions at left guard and left tackle respectively. Schafer, left end; Nicols, center; Banks, right guard; and Bouis, right tackle, are all playing their first university game.
Two New Men in Backfield
The new men in the backfield, Frankenfield and Clarke, are stationed at right half and fullback. Besides supporting the forwards, Clarke is rapidly rounding into a capable kicker and may share the punting assignment with Anderson.
Rensselaer Polytechnic will be well fortified in reserve material, 28 players making the trip from Troy. Of these 12 are backs, six are flank men, two are centers, and the remainder are guards and tackles.
Only Two Games Lost Last Year
Last year, R. P. I. won four of its eight games, defeating Springfield, St. Lawrence, Worcester and Stevens. Tie games were played against Clarkson and Union, while Rochester gained a 7-3 verdict, and Williams by means of a versatile overhead attack overcame the engineers, 21-6.
Due to faculty rulings, the R. P. I. team will not arrive at Cambridge until late on Friday, but as Manager S. deJ. Osborne '26 has invited the visitors to practice in the Stadium on Saturday morning, they will have an opportunity to become acquainted with the air currents and shadows on Soldiers Field before the game.
