Professor K.F. Mather, of the Department of Geology, will speak tonight at 6.45 o'clock in the Smith Halls Common Room at the second of the series of Freshman Monday Night meetings.
Radical changes in the aspect of these meetings have been announced by H.H. MacCubbin '27 of the Phillips Brooks House Association. Besides the announcement that tonight's meeting will be the first to assume the aspect of a smoker, a number of innovations in the conduct of the gatherings were announced.
At each smoker, beginning this evening, upper classmen will be invited to act as hosts, in an effort to make these functions enjoyable and informal gatherings. Music and entertainment, to be provided by the Instrumental Clubs and other organizations, will feature tonight's program. D.C. Gates '26, President of the instrumental Clubs, and E.A. Smith '26, will take charge of the entertainment.
Mr. Brooke Potter 2L, Proctor, will introduce Professor Mather, who will give an informal talk on "A Trained Intellect: The Ability to see, Rather Than Just to Look."
