How Cambridge’s Political Power Brokers Shape the 2025 Election
In its first encounter on an alien field, the University soccer team will face Cornell in Ithaca this afternoon in the opening game of the Intercollegiate Soccer League. The regular line-up has received some joking due to the fact that Phaneuf will not be able to play. Captain McKinnon will shift to fullback, and Carr will substitute in the right halfback position.
Team So Far Appears Mediocre
The two preliminary games of the season failed to show any promise of brilliance on the part of Coach White's men, but in view of the intensive training which has been taking place during the past week, a good showing may be expected against Cornell.
The first game of the season against Clan Lindsay was won after a hard struggle by a score of 1 to 0 while Amherst held the University to a one point tie. The latter game, however, can hardly be considered a criterion of the team's strength as it was played under very poor weather conditions.
