FIVE SEEKS REVENGE AGAINST M. A. C.

Wachter Will Use Same Line-Up That Won From M. I. T.--Leekley and Smith in Forward Positions

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University basketball quintet will be out for revenge this evening with M. A. C. in the Hemenway Gymnasium. The agriculturists defeated the Crimson last year by the closest of margins, scoring two goals in the last minute of play to win 26-22.

To Test Team's Offense

Coach Wachter plans to start the same line-up that defeated M. I. T. 31 to 20 last Saturday. Leekley and Smith have shown up well at the two forward positions, while Rauh, back in his old place at center, gave an excellent exhibition of defensive and offensive ability in the Technology game.

Coach Wachter has been working on this new line-up all week in an effort to bolster the attack and perfect the passing game which has been weak so far this season. The game today will be the second and crucial test of the ability of the team to break through their opponent's defense, with the new forward line in action.

Massachusetts Agricultural College has perfected a defensive system which was the chief cause of the defeat which they inflicted on the University quintet last year. This season they have four of the five men who started in that game back again, and the newcomer. Partenheimer, has proved himself one of the fastest guards which the agriculturists have had in years. In addition he is the most accurate basket shooter on the squad with the possible exception of Temple, who was a thorn in the side of the Crimson quintet last year.

M. A. C. Defeated Only Once

M. A. C.'s record this year is marred by only one defeat in six games. Among its victims are Williams, Trinity, Clark, and Wesleyan, all of whom it has defeated with little trouble. Comparative scores mean little, but the fact that the "farmers" defeated Williams 38 to 19, while the latter conquered Middlebury by almost exactly the same total as the Crimson, quintet did, at least promises a close struggle. The game will begin at 8 o'clock. HARVARD  M. A. C. Smith r.f.  l.g. Smiley Leekley l.f.  r.g. Partenheimer Rauh c.  c. Jones Samborski r.g.  l.f. Samuels Morrison l.g.  r.f. Temple
