BELGIUM OFFERS FELLOWSHIPS

Six graduate fellowships for study in Belgium for 1925-26 are to be awarded on April 1, it was announced yesterday by the Commission for Relief in Belgium. Applications for these fellowships must be in by February 15.

These fellowships are established to commemorate the work of the Commission for Relief in Belgium during the World War. Each is worth 15,000 francs besides tuition at the Belgian schools and first class traveling expenses to and from the institution chosen. The fellowships are open to both men and women and are to be held for one year. All American fellows will be required to report in Brussels on October 1 and to stay in Belgium at least eight months. The choice of the Belgian university where he is to study is left to the fellows, and in a few cases they may study at more than one.

Application blanks and information may be had from Dean L. B. R. Briggs in University 10. Applicants who desire that the University indorse their applications are asked by the office to apply soon enough to have their cases considered by the Committee on General Scholarship.
