NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Although leading by three goals in the first chukker of a fast polo game on Saturday, the University team finished behind the 103rd Field Artillery team of Providence, with the score of 8 3-4 to 6 1-4. At the same time in Boston the officers of the Harvard R. O. T. C. unit lost their lead in the Indoor Polo League by losing to the 101st Artillery team.

The University game was hard and fast. Despite the absence of Captain Kent the Crimson riders displayed a brand of polo that could have vanquished any less experienced trio than the 103rd. Pinkerton, scoring four of Harvard's goals was bettered only by Beresford of the Providence team who made five of his team's scores.

The summary:

Score, 103rd Field Artillery 8 3-4, Harvard 6 1-4. Goals, Beresford 5, Kempl 2, Murphy 2, Pinkerton 4, Stranahan 3, Foul, Pinkerton. Safeties, Harvard 1, 103rd Field Artillery 1. Referee, William Rancourt. ARTILLERY  HARVARD No. 1--G. Beresford  Stranahan No. 2--Kempf  Pinkerton No. 3--Murphy  White
