FRESHMAN BEATEN BY HEBRON

The Freshman basketball quintet met its first defeat of the season on Saturday, when Hebron Academy won a bitterly contested game, 29 to 25.

The Hebron five, which is considered the strongest school boy team in Maine, came from behind late in the second half to snatch victory from the Crimson first year men. The 1928 quintet was handicapped after the first few minutes of play by the loss of Slocum, the brilliant right forward, and of McCurdy, the second string center, who started the game in Green's place. Both received ankle injuries which may keep them out of next Saturday's game.

Oothout, who replaced Slocum, was the outstanding star of the game for the Crimson, while Wheeler and Morse shone for the Pine Tree State quintet.
