UNIVERSITY WRESTLERS BEAT TECH OPPONENTS

Awarded Two Bouts on Decision and Three on Falls

Starting the season with a victory, the wrestling team triumphed over M. I. T. last night by the score of 21-6. The University won two bouts by decisions and three by falls, while M. I. T. got her six points through two decisions of the referee.

The captain of both teams lost their matches. Captain Hayne, of the University, was defeated by Tryon, of M. I. T. by a close referee's decision. Captain Greer of M. I. T. lost his but more decisively, being thrown by Wood, the University's 158-pound representative. Both these bouts were exciting and fast, and provided the chief interest in an otherwise dull meet.

115-Pound Class--Coyle (M. I. T. won from Krook (B) by referee's decisions.

125-Pound Class--Goldberg (H) won from Curtin (M. I. T.) by referee's decision in an overtime bout.

135-Pound Class--Stearns (H) won from Bosch (M. I. T.) by referee's decision.

145-Pound Class--Harmon (H) won from Drum (M. I. T.) by fall in 3m 15s.

158-Pound Class--Wood (H) won from Greer (capt. M. I. T.) by fall in 3m 45s.

175-Pound Class. Tryon (M. I. T.) won from Rayne Capt. H. by referee's decision.

Heavyweight Class Bradford (H) won from Burke (M. I. T.) by fall in 4m, 5s.
