McKINNON ELECTED LEADER OF COMING SOCCER ELEVEN

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Joseph Ayer MacKinnon '27, of Shanghal, China was elected to captain the University soccer team for next year at a banquet of this year's letter men last night at the Varsity Club.

MacKinnon prepared for the University at Andover where he was on the soccer squad. Last year, as left fullback of the 1927 Freshman team he was one of the mainstays of the defense. Last fall he played a strong game at right halfback throughout the season.

He is the third soccer captain in four years to hall from a foreign country. R. W. Herger '24, 1922 captain, lived in Constantinople and R. M. C. Greenidge '25, last year's leader, was a native of Barbados.
