Cross--Country Men Have Time Trial

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

On Saturday afternoon the cross-country squad had its first time trial over the full course. The Freshmen were timed over the 3 1-4 mile course, and the University over the five mile course. About 27 men reported for the Freshman team, and about 20 for the University.

Although Coach E. L. Farrell refused to give out any times, or allow any names to be printed, he admitted that there was some very good time turned in, both by the University and the Freshmen.

It is understood that these time trials will play an important part in the picking of men for the training table, which will start some time this week.

J. N. Watters '26, middle distance star winner of the intercollegiate half-mile title has not been out for cross country.
