The Harvard Cooperative Society will pay dividends tomorrow on all purchases made last year by members of the Society. The dividends, which amount to ten per cent on cash purchases and eight per cent on credit sales will be paid in the furniture department in the basement. That, they may be easily identified members are requested to bring their last year's membership cards.
The figures, which were made public in the president's report to stockholders of the Harvard Cooperative Society, show that the fiscal year, ending last June, was the most profitable in the history of the Society. The Harvard Branch more than made up for a small decrease in the Technology Branch, which lost approximately $3500 worth of business on account of the smaller registration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The total business of the Society amounted to $909,400, in round figures, as compared with $831,860 during 1922-23. The gain in the Harvard Branch was $81,100, while the loss in the Technology branch brought the total gain down to $77,540. The gain in membership amounted to 685.
