MONDAY NIGHT MEETINGS WILL START NEXT WEEK

On Monday evening at 6.45 o'clock in Smith Halls Common Room, Dean W. L. Sperry of the Harvard Divinity School will speak at the first of the series of Freshman Monday night meetings.

These meetings are held weekly until the Christmas Vacation. The program includes a short address by some invited speaker and college songs.

In addition to affording the Freshmen an opportunity to hear some excellent and interesting talks they bring a group of men together and promote wider acquaintance among the first year men.

To Guide Freshmen in College Life

The first of these meetings was held in 1901 as a Bible study group. At present, however, their guiding purpose is to help the Freshmen get started on the right road through college.

The speakers for the year are as follows:

September 29.--Dean Sperry of the Divinity School.

October 6.--Rev. H. K. Sherrill of Trinity Church, Boston.

October 13.--Not filled.

October 20.--Not filled.

October 27.--Rev. Sidney Lovett of Boston.

November 3.--Professor W. E. Hocking, Professor of Philosophy.

November 10.--Not filled.

November 17.--Rev. Paul Revere Frothingham of Boston.

November 24.--Mr. Phillip Cabot '94.

December 1.--Professor Angus Dun.

December 8.--Not filled.

December 15.--Rev. Harry Emerson Fosdick.

The present committee from the class of 1927 will choose their successors from the class of 1928.
