The identity of the supposed victim of an airplane accident near Squantum on Wednesday, September 25, has been discovered to be W. A. Spurr, a Senior at Harvard. Spurr, who was taking part in a naval reserve flight on Wednesday, said yesterday that he was flying at a high rate of speed close to the ocean, and disappeared behind some land, there by starting the rumor that the plane liad disappeared in the ocean.
Spurr and four other men from Harvard are in the United State Naval Reserved Air Force. They have finished the first course which was opened to members of the University last spring and are about to begin the second course offered by the Naval Reserve Air Force at Squantum.
