More than fifty men attended preliminary tryouts for the University Band at 7.30 o'clock last night in Sanders Theatre. A. F. Keeley '27, leader of the band, spoke briefly to the candidates, giving them the program of the organization's activities for the coming year.

Beginning with the first game on October 4, the band will play at all football games on Soldiers Field, and will take as many of its members as possible to the Yale game at New Haven.
