The University Band will begin its fifth year at 7.30 o'clock tonight with the first try outs in Sanders Theatre. With plans under way to develop the band in many different ways, the management hopes for a record number of candidates. All members of the University, who play any musical instrument, are eligible to compete. All instruments will be supplied free to applicants.

When regular rehearsals begin tomorrow. Ambrose Francis Keeley '27, of Fall River, will take charge as leader, succeeding Addison Simmons '24, who was graduated in June. Keeley, who played the cornet last year, is the second man to become leader of the University Band in his Sophomore year.
