8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
Coach Thomas J. Campbell '12 has issued a call for Freshman football candidates to report at the Locker Building this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The first day's program will be devoted principally to the signing up of the men, the issue of equipment, and a talk to the squad on the fundamentals of the Harvard football system. A brief conditioning drill on the Freshman field will, however, be included.
The opening game with Andover is still three weeks off, but Coach Campbell is eager to get under way without loss, of time, as he has set as the season's task the wiping out of the inglorious defeat at the hands of the Yale first-year men last fall. His assistant coaches will be C. A. Tierney '22, University center and tackle for two year: P. B. Kunhardt '23, who started the Yale game two years ago at guard; K. N. Hill '21, regular end last season; E. D. Hamilton '23, former second team player; and R. H. Bond '19, old backfield player. Kunhardt is the only one of these men besides Campbell who was on the coaching staff last year, but Tierney helped drill the first-year eleven two seasons ago.
