The endowment drive for $10,000,000 to extend the services of the University is now short only $1,775,000 of its goal, according to a statement authorized yesterday by Bishop William Lawrence '71 of Massachusetts, chairman of the committee in charge.
The $8,225,000 which is already pledged includes the $5,000,000 given by Mr. George F. Baker of New York City and completing the sum which it was intended to raise for the Business School. In addition, $2,080,000 has been given to the Division of Chemistry and $1,145,000 to the Department of Fine Arts.
