GOLFERS HOPEFUL FOR TEAM TITLE AT INTERCOLLEGIATES

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Not since 1916 has the University won the intercollegiate golf title which J. W. Hubbell '17 captured in that year, but on June 24 the University team will travel to Greenwich, Conn., it was announced last night, and the chances of regaining the team title, if not the individual title, are brighter than for many years past. Dexter Cummings, the Eli star, is the present champion, while Princeton holds the team trophy.

Fresh from its recent victory in the Eastern Intercollegiate League, the six-man team that opposed Yale, will play at Greenwich from June 24 to June 28. The team championship will be decided on 72 holes of medal play, the scores of the four highest men on each team counting. The last 36 holes of this competition, will serve as a qualifying round for the individual tournament.
