Coach Shaw last night selected the probable Freshman crew that will face Tech Saturday, and if he can possibly avoid it, there will be no further changes before that race.
Red or A Crew.--Stroke, Rice; 7, Platt; 6, Browning; 5, Shurtleff; 4, Gates; 3, Whitman; 2, Farnham; bow, Bowles; cox., Travis.
White or B Crew.--Stroke, Scudder; 7, Barry; 6, Locke, 5, Hallowell; 4, Hall; 3, Pierce; 2, Wylde; bow, Bancroft; cox., Ely.
Rice is the only man who received permanent promotion. He stroked the second Freshman crew in its victory over Groton last Saturday, when the course record was shattered by 12 seconds. Barry was tried yesterday in Bowles' position at bow on the red crew, and Hall at number two. Coach Shaw, after making the changes, said these were tentative shifts, and would probably last only till Saturday.
