MERRILL ELECTED TO LEAD LIGHTWEIGHT CREW FOR 1925

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At the annual banquet of the University 150-pound crew held at the Harvard Club of Boston last night, Dudley Merrill '26, of New York City was elected captain of next year's 150-pound crew. Although he will only be a Junior next year, Merrill is recognized as one of the best light weight oarsmen to enter the University, stroking this year's eight to a three length victory over the Yale boat. At the banquet last night Coach Newell was presented with a picture of the 1924 championship 150-pound crew.

Coaches Stevens and Shaw gave their crews a rest yesterday following the Cornell race. While Coach Shaw expects to have his red crew on the water this afternoon, Coach Stevens will probably rest the first University eight until tomorrow.
